The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a Principal Technical Systems Administrator for their team. In this role, you will be the backbone of their Product Development infrastructure, ensuring that their systems are not just operational, but innovative. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategic roadmaps and the tactical, hands-on implementation of engineering tools that support their global business areas.
What Youll Do
As a senior member of the IT infrastructure team, your responsibilities will span from hardware provisioning to long-term digital transformation:
- System Lifecycle Management: Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware, software, and infrastructure across both local and cloud-based networks.
- Engineering Tool Administration: Implement and manage specialized Engineering Tool Administration practices, specifically focusing on CAD-driven PLM structures.
- Tactical Execution: Work closely with Application and Development teams to drive the technical roadmap for the Product Development suite.
- Documentation & Compliance: Manage configurations, licensing agreements, and backup procedures. Ensure all activities align with our clients policies and U.S. Government trade regulations.
- Innovation & Prototyping: Build and test prototype systems for demos and internal testing to enable continuing innovation.
- Support & Escalation: Act as the primary escalation point for after-hours support for the Product Development Suite of Tools.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in a related field (Higher education may substitute for experience; relevant experience may substitute for education).
- Specialized Experience: Proven expertise in 3DExperience On-Premise Deployment within a Cloud Hosted environment.
- Compliance: Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual (per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) to meet U.S. Government international trade regulations.
- PLM Expertise: 10+ years of experience implementing tools/processes for CAD-driven Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Digital Transformation: Experience distilling vision strategy sessions into actionable, multi-year technical roadmaps.
- Software Development: Familiarity with iOS, Microsoft, Linux, JavaScript, Angular.js, or WebRTC.
- Workflow Tools: Proficiency in ServiceNow or JIRA Help Desk for business application support.
