Name of position: Principal Systems Engineer
Location: Philadelphia PA

job description
Provides senior-level leadership and technical oversight of the enterprise systems environment.
Manages the VMware platform, virtual and physical server infrastructure, operating systems, core services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP), and all cloud environments (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS).
Oversees system health, lifecycle management, software renewals, and Tier 3 escalations. Provides guidance, task assignments, and mentoring to the systems team.      

Skills Required
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise systems engineering, including senior or lead responsibilities.
• Expert-level knowledge of VMware virtualization, Windows Server, Linux systems, storage platforms, and enterprise directory services.
• Experience managing enterprise Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, group policies, and identity integrations across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), hybrid architectures, and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS models.
• Ability to perform in depth troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex system issues.
• Experience planning and executing large-scale system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle replacement.
• Ability to prepare system standards, documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills. • Advanced certifications preferred (e.g., VCP, MCSE, Azure/AWS Architect)
