Position Overview:

A Principal Infrastructure Architect plays a pivotal role in translating business requirements into tailored infrastructure designs, leveraging Siemens Digital Industries Software best practices to deliver valued solutions across enterprise programs. This role entails leading project deliveries, assessing customer's environments, and overseeing infrastructure design while ensuring compatibility with customer's existing systems. In addition, they maintain stakeholder relationships, manage project documentation standards, conduct architectural reviews, and uphold compliance and industry standards, contributing to continuous improvement and innovative practices that improve performance and scalability.

This position can be 100% remote with an option for hybrid work at a Siemens DISW office hub.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise\u2011scale infrastructure architectures across on\u2011premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and support long\u2011term business objectives.
• Translate business, program, and technical requirements into end\u2011to\u2011end infrastructure architectures aligned with industry best practices, organizational standards, and customer IT strategies.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for infrastructure architecture, providing guidance on system sizing, performance, availability, security, networking, operating systems, and database platforms.
• Partner with Sales, Pre\u2011Sales, Delivery, and Product teams to support pursuits, influence solution roadmaps, and guide customers through architectural options and trade\u2011offs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to other infrastructure architects and consultants, elevating architectural maturity across the organization.
• Ensure all solutions follow security, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements, upholding professional standards and organizational values.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Architect or Consultant delivering enterprise\u2011scale solutions across on\u2011premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Strong hands\u2011on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure designs.
• Deep knowledge and experience with performance tuning practices for enterprise infrastructure components, including compute, storage, networking, security,
• high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Solid experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and enterprise database platforms such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrated customer\u2011facing consulting skills, including stakeholder engagement, expectation management, and technical communication with both technical
• and executive audiences.
• Ability to work independently under self\u2011management, providing leadership within project and program constraints.
• Experience with enterprise-grade software platforms in Product Lifecycle Management or Manufacturing Operations Management domains.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience serving as Lead Infrastructure Architect on strategic, largescale, or global consulting programs.
• Experience driving automation, standardization, and reusable architecture patterns through scripting, templates, or reference architectures.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring other architects or consultants and contributing to communities of practice or knowledge\u2011sharing initiatives.
• Experience with Siemens Digital Industries Software Teamcenter or Opcenter platforms.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Familiarity with containerization and modern deployment approaches (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in enterprise or cloud environments.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Security, or Infrastructure related certifications).
• Exposure to highly regulated environments: ITAR, NIST, GDPR, FDA

Additional Information:

• This role is primarily remote but may involve occasional travel (up to 25%) for customer engagements.

The pay range for this position is $146,700 - $293,400 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
