Principal Heavy Equipment Diagnostics Mechanic
Location: Dayton, Texas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Compensation: Up to $50.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Your impact
- Own complex troubleshooting across hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems
- Deliver preventative maintenance, inspections, fluid services, and minor diesel engine repairs
- Decode hydraulic and electrical schematics to get equipment back online fast
- Document every repair with clarity and accuracy
- Travel to regional job sites for service calls, repairs, and hands-on operator training
- Champion safety and compliance in every task
- Serve as a trusted advisor on operation and maintenance best practices
What you bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- 7+ years maintaining and repairing heavy equipment
- Mastery of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Proficiency with digital voltmeters (DVMs)
- Working knowledge of CANbus networks and PLCs
- Personal toolbox suited to the role
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination

- 10+ years in heavy construction equipment
- Welding capability
- Advanced diesel engine diagnostics and repair
- Proven independence in shop and field settings
- Experience mentoring or training technicians
