Job Overview
As a senior-level engineer, you'll focus on deep Windows Server operating system engineering, including server build standards, automation, hardening, performance, troubleshooting, monitoring, lifecycle management, and operational support. You'll define strategy, roadmap, standards, and service models for our Windows Server infrastructure. This role involves both solution design and hands-on implementation, collaborating with architects, infrastructure teams, security, operations, and application teams to deliver reliable, secure, and supportable solutions.
Requirements
- 10 years of infrastructure engineering experience, with 5 years in hands-on Windows Server engineering.
- Expertise in Windows Server operating systems, including build, configuration, troubleshooting, patching, hardening, and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with security hardening and compliance with CIS or NIST standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Preferences
- Experience with Azure or Azure Local.
- Familiarity with SQL Server infrastructure requirements.
- Experience with Citrix environments and common Windows Server roles.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Windows Server, Azure, Terraform, Ansible, or ITIL.
