Job Summary:Job Title: Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care & Women’s Preventive Health)
Location: Forest Hills & Glendale, NY
Schedule: 3 days/week (M/W/F preferred — flexible for the right candidate)
Summary: Essen is seeking a compassionate and skilled Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role focuses on providing high-quality primary care services with the added opportunity to perform preventive GYN care under the supervision of an OB-GYN, which is a strong plus for this position. You will be joining a collaborative care team committed to improving patient outcomes and providing excellent care within the community.
Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients
Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and manage follow-up care
Perform women’s preventive health services (e.g., well-woman exams, pap smears) under OB-GYN supervision
Promote health education, disease prevention, and chronic disease management
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators
Active NYS Nurse Practitioner license — required
Valid DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
Primary Care or Family Health experience preferred
Experience in women’s health or willingness to be trained in preventive GYN care — highly preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
