Pricing Analyst (Contractor) - Houston TX The Pricing Analyst (Contractor) will be responsible for ensuring all customer pricing is accurately maintained and entered in SAP in alignment with contractual agreements. This role plays a key part in supporting pricing operations and ensuring data integrity ahead of monthly financial close. The position does not set pricing but ensures all pricing aligns with signed contracts and established terms. Responsibilities
Enter and maintain customer pricing (approximately 20% of business) in SAP on a monthly basis
Monitor and maintain all pricing conditions within SAP
Process competitive price requests and implement updates as needed
Manage formula-based pricing updates using public market indicators, which serve as the basis for approximately 80% of sales invoices
Validate pricing accuracy against signed contracts and identify discrepancies
Ensure all pricing is entered and accurate prior to month-end close
Analyze numerical data to quickly identify inconsistencies or errors
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience post-degree
Hands-on experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel required
Experience with Power BI is a plus Strong analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
Ability to identify discrepancies and trends within large data sets
Solid numerical and problem-solving skills
Experience with accounting or financial data is highly preferred
Experience working in large organizations or within the energy or chemicals industry is a plus
Prior experience in polymers or pricing is not required
Experience in B2B pricing and transactional operations
Combination of customer service and finance/accounting experience
