In this role, you will design and deliver prevention education programs focused on substance use and mental health. You will lead engaging training sessions and psychoeducational groups, partner with community organizations to identify needs, and help develop impactful prevention strategies and materials. Your work will support individuals and communities in building healthier behaviors and increasing awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging training sessions and psychoeducational groups focused on substance use prevention, mental health awareness, and life skills development
  • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and stakeholders to identify needs and implement effective prevention strategies
  • Develop and enhance lesson plans, curricula, and educational materials to support prevention programming
  • Support community groups in creating meaningful, age-appropriate prevention initiatives and awareness activities
  • Maintain and organize educational resources, including materials and audio-visual tools, to support programming efforts
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to training programs based on emerging trends and community needs
  • Document program activities accurately in alignment with agency standards

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, counseling, or a related human services field

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health and/or substance use

OR

  • High School diploma or GED with at least four years of experience working with individuals impacted by substance use
  • Substance use certification preferred

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with community partners and stakeholders
  • Organized, creative, and able to develop engaging educational content
  • Passion for community outreach, prevention, and promoting mental wellness
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the community as needed
