Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections of equipment and facilities, performing preventative maintenance, and handling basic repairs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential issues. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition and to reduce the likelihood of breakdowns. Handle basic repairs, including diagnosing mechanical issues and fixing or replacing faulty components. Oversee contractors when specialized or professional repairs are necessary, ensuring work is completed according to company standards. Disassemble machinery, equipment, or devices to remove defective parts and replace them as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to guide repair and maintenance work. Utilize a variety of hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to carry out repairs. Use precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices to ensure equipment is functioning correctly. Document maintenance activities and repairs, ensuring records are kept up to date. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, ensuring all maintenance tasks are tracked and completed efficiently. Maintain a professional attitude and presentation while working independently or as part of a team. Follow up on maintenance tasks to ensure all repairs are properly completed and operational. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must understand electricity (some) and carpentry Must provide own tools (special tools needed will be provided) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs. Skilled in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing basic repairs on a wide variety of equipment. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions. Ability to work in a variety of roles. Strong project management skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping projects on schedule and budget. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to work overtime and weekends when needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Proven experience in maintenance, with a strong background in equipment and machinery repair. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a related degree from a technical college is preferred.
