Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project specifications, customer requirements, and performance criteria to develop compliant equipment designs
  • Provide engineering and technical support for original equipment and aftermarket projects
  • Develop and review technical datasheets, calculations, fabrication drawings, general arrangements, and detailed design packages
  • Prepare equipment specifications, Bills of Material, and engineering documentation for assigned projects
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure compliance with ASME VIII and other applicable industry codes and standards
  • Review and approve structural and mechanical designs related to pressure vessel systems
  • Collaborate with fabrication, quality, and project management teams to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
  • Evaluate field installations and recommend design improvements or corrective actions as needed
  • Interface directly with customers, vendors, EPC firms, and consulting engineers regarding technical project requirements
  • Support fabrication shops with design clarification, troubleshooting, and technical guidance
  • Participate in product development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay current on industry trends, materials, manufacturing processes, and applicable code updates
  • Travel to customer or vendor sites as needed for inspections, meetings, and project support

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in pressure vessel or process equipment design
  • Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII code requirements
  • Experience with pressure vessel design, fabrication support, and project execution
  • Experience collaborating with sales, manufacturing, vendors, and project teams
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D and 3D)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with materials engineering and material traceability
  • Welding and fabrication knowledge
  • Documentation and manufacturing data book experience
  • Experience working with EPC contractors and industrial customers
  • Familiarity with code documentation and quality compliance processes

Additional Requirements
This position supports U.S. government programs; therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

Travel Requirements
Occasional travel to customer sites, vendor facilities, or company locations may be required to support inspections, installations, training, or project execution activities.
