Press Machine Operator

The pressman's responsibility includes but is not limited to pulling work tickets and entering production into a computer, operating all facets of the printing press from splicer to rewinder, setting, adjusting and replacing rollers, setting ink, pinholes and perfs, register, and water, performing basic maintenance and upkeep, and more. Job responsibility includes running continuous forms in up to 8 colors that generally finish sheets.

The Press Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of a high-speed machine. The Machine Operator is also responsible for the overall quality and efficiency of the machine. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for ensuring that the machine runs efficiently while producing a product that meets quality standards. Job responsibility includes running continuous forms in up to 8 colors that generally finish sheets. The pressman's responsibility includes but is not limited to pulling work tickets and entering production into a computer, operating all facets of the printing press from splicer to rewinder, setting, adjusting and replacing rollers, setting ink, pinholes and perfs, register, and water, performing basic maintenance and upkeep, and more. Accurately interpret work orders and other instructions required by supervision. Able to accurately complete daily production report, including downtime log. The ability to demonstrate leadership skills on a regular basis. Keep the work area clean and organized while following the lean initiatives. Other assigned tasks.
