Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support and front-line customer service for the Executive Suite, and to assist with ensuring effective daily operations within the College's Executive Suite. This is accomplished by performing a variety of clerical duties; processing payments and balancing monies; providing support for President's Cabinet and Executive Assistants; maintaining various databases; proofreading reports, schedules, brochures and flyers; updating portions of the College website, receiving and directing phone calls; composing correspondence; ordering supplies, processing purchase requisitions and direct payment vouchers and other budgetary documents; maintaining budget records; performing file and record management; assisting phone and in-person visitors.
To facilitate effective daily operations within the suite, the President's Office Assistant is cross-trained to understand the basic responsibilities of each of the Executive Assistants in the suite and may sometimes be asked to provide coverage during planned and unplanned absences. In addition, the President's Office Assistant is responsible for managing other essential office functions (e.g., room and food reservations, life event recognition, event planning and management, calendar management, maintaining credit cards, and organizing and setting up meetings).
This is a non-exempt staff position
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Required Education
Associate degree
Required Experience
Minimum of two years of recent experience in a role with direct responsibility for providing comprehensive administrative and office support
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Direct experience of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint)
High attention to detail
Strong organizational skills, including managing electronic files
Ability to manage Outlook calendars
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in higher education
Experience with Ellucian Banner ERP
Hours per Week 40 - 100%
General Weekly Work Schedule
8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
