ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a President for our Construction Services Division to be responsible for implementing the vision, mission, and strategy set by the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors by establishing standards of performance for each of the Construction organizations. Standards are measured against goals defined in Tepa’s strategic plan. In conjunction with construction leadership, the President will ensure the division adheres to policies and procedures for reporting, project controls, financial controls, and employee relations.

Job Functions:

  • Drives the growth and transformation of the Construction division by leading and overseeing a diversified portfolio of clients and capabilities, for stable long-term profitability.
  • Develops and implements regional and national market growth strategies.
  • Confers with Executive Vice Presidents to plan business objectives and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
  • Supports Native Enhancement Plan (NEP) initiatives.
  • Supports and promotes Corporate partnership and initiatives
  • Reviews program and project reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
  • Conducts regular operational reviews and audits ensuring the highest quality project execution.
  • Develops and implements plans to improve division operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Evaluates performance of Executive Vice Presidents for compliance with established policies and objectives of Tepa and their contributions in attaining objectives.
  • Builds division staff capability through strong performance management, mentoring, and development.
  • Communicates the division’s status and direction to executive leadership and division staff.
  • Promotes a culture of high-performance that values learning, a commitment to quality, and alignment with Tepa’s core values.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of divisional Executive Vice Presidents.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 20+ years’ experience in the field of construction, including operations and preconstruction.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a general manager, business unit leader, president or CEO position.
  • Proven success working and leading a profitable business unit, project management, project controls, contract management, negotiations, planning, budget development, quality control, health & safety and strategic planning.
  • Expert knowledge of technical construction, analytical business management, and evaluation of financial accuracy of cost estimates.
  • Knowledge of federal and non-federal construction and consulting industries.
  • Ability to articulate vision and gain alignment from key stakeholders across the company.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • High impact, self-starter, who can thrive in a complex, high performance, results-driven environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to action through their influence
  • Ability to travel and interact successfully with a geographically diverse team
