About the Opportunity Lyras provider network is composed of in-person and virtual therapists, physicians, and coaches across the US. We are looking for contract nurse practitioners (NPs) or certified physician assistants (PA-C) who are passionate about whole-person, whole-family mental health care and working within a connected network to provide patients with easily accessible, culturally responsive, high-quality mental health care.

As a contract provider, youll provide evidence-based treatment via live 60-minute video intake appointments and 30-minute follow-up appointments. Youll conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management. Lyra makes it easy to refer patients to therapy and coaching services in tandem with your care.

You will provide care to individuals from a multitude of different backgrounds and experiences, as well as those with varying needs and abilities. We strive to continue to meet their unique needs by delivering culturally-responsive care-an approach that is mindful of the impact of cultural background on each persons care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Assessment and Diagnostic Skills: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
  • Evidence-Based Treatment: Utilize proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring safe and appropriate interventions.
  • Family-Centered Approach: Foster a collaborative treatment environment, educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and providing guidance on supportive measures at home.
  • Virtual Care Delivery: Conduct virtual psychiatric sessions ensuring a high-quality and supportive experience and leverage technology to maintain regular communication with members and families.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members for comprehensive member care.
  • Data-Driven Practice and Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Use data analytics to assess outcomes and continuously improve care quality.
  • Ethics and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and commit to ethical patient-centered care practices.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited CCNE Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program OR graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE.
  • Preference for: Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other academic psychiatry certificate program completion, including a Doctor of Medical Science with Psychiatry concentration.
  • Unrestricted state license.
  • A minimum of 2 years in practice, specifically working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy preferred but not required).
  • Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).
  • Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Full-time resident of the United States.
