Emerson Public Schools is seeking a caring, energetic, and qualified Half-Day Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical growth of young learners.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Support students' social-emotional development and early literacy, math, and communication skills
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student growth and classroom activities
- Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and faculty members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
- Preschool certification required
- Experience teaching preschool or pre-kindergarten students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
