Responsibilities
- The successful candidate must enjoy working with children as the Lead Teacher and be devoted to building a nurturing and safe environment.
- To excel in this position, you must demonstrate the ability to be a team player, as well as in-depth knowledge of classroom activities and teaching.
- Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
- Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
- Communicate with parents and other school personnel
- Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
Qualifications
- High School, bachelor’s degree, 6 semester or 90 clock hours or equivalent of approved early childhood coursework
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Problem-solving and mediation skills
