Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Ability to follow policies, procedures, and licensing regulations
Preferred:
CDA (Child Development Associate) or higher in Early Childhood Education
Knowledge of GELDS, Creative Curriculum, or similar frameworks
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Implement daily lesson plans aligned with GELDS and the ABEKA curriculum

Support children’s social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Redirect challenging behaviors using appropriate classroom management strategies
Build positive relationships with children to foster a nurturing learning environment
Communication & Documentation
Provide daily communication to parents through Procare or approved reporting methods
Accurately complete incident reports, daily logs, and required documentation
Maintain open, professional communication with management and families Health, Safety & Compliance
Conduct daily health checks and maintain sanitation standards
Follow all Bright from the Start (DECAL) regulations and center policies
Ensure classroom ratios and supervision requirements are consistently met
Team Collaboration
Work cooperatively with co-teachers and management staff
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
Follow chain of command and center procedures at all times
