Primary Purpose of Position
This position requires that a highly qualified early childhood teacher implement a curriculum with children who have typical and atypical development and deliver a developmentally appropriate program with attention to the standards of the BK early childhood curriculum, state licensing requirements, and NAEYC standards. The position will plan and implement a model preschool program for an inclusive group of preschool children that complies with all health, safety, and educational best practices for young children; supervise and mentor undergraduate students assigned to the classroom for observation and practicum experiences; complete assessment and other reports as needed; and provide service to the profession, community, and university.
Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related childcare experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certification required by statute or regulation

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Successful experience in high quality childcare program.
