Bakan Wynwood, Koko - Coconut Grove & Jacinta Aventura are looking for Tortilla cooks. Immediate Hiring
Tortilla Cooks are responsible for making fresh tortillas at an action station, prepping masa, and other general food item preparation and recipe execution. Tortillas are handcrafted on-site in an authentic Mexican tradition.
The tortilla cook is responsible for the tortilla preparation and recipe execution. The tortilla Cook ensures that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality food items. This role works in the back of the house executing food orders, preparing salsa/condiments/ sides etc., and all other food preparation duties.

What we are looking for:
- Be responsible for their assigned station and have timely production of orders, while cooking/preparing each dish with love and attention
- Ensure adherence to menu specifications and follow recipes exactly as presented.
- Able follow directions and receive constructive feedback from leadership.
- Keep daily inventory of the product and follow a FIFO workflow.
- Label and date all food items
- Assist Line Cooks if needed with Line set up and basic kitchen responsibilities.
- Someone with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude
- Someone that loves to help and serve others (both guests and team members)
Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old to work with us in this role.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States.
- You must be able to stand for extended periods of time and push/pull/lift 20+ pound.
- You must have a flexible schedule to be able to work lunch and diner shifts and Saturday and Sunday Shifts
- Must have or be able to take a food safety class, for responsible food handling practices.
