Every meal is prepared from scratch by our head chef using fresh, responsibly sourced ingredients and is entirely free from seed oils, gluten, dairy, and refined sugars. We operate on the principle that food is medicine, and we hold our kitchen to that standard in everything we prepare.

The Role

We are hiring a part-time Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This is an on-site position based in San Diego with a flexible schedule of 1 to 3 days per week, Sunday through Wednesday, 6 to 8 hours per day. The Sunday through Wednesday schedule means no weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Ingredient preparation and mise en place for weekly production
  
• Execution of recipes with precision and consistency
  
• Adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  
• Maintenance of an organized, efficient kitchen workspace
  
• Collaboration with the head chef throughout the production process
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a professional kitchen required
  
• Strong knife skills and foundational cooking technique
  
• Ability to follow recipes exactly and maintain quality standards
  
• Knowledge of food safety protocols
  
• Experience with allergen-conscious or dietary-specific cooking is a plus
  
• Genuine interest in organic, health-focused food and sustainable practices
