Description
Job Title: Cook
Reports To: Executive Chef
Summary: A Prep Cook performs various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes all tasks, in order, on the prep list
Set up and sanitize workstations
Check labels daily to ensure freshness
Label and stock ingredients in their designated areas
Wash, chop and sort ingredients
Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
Parboil food, reducing sauces and make soup stock
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware
Clean work area, sinks, counters, display and prep tables and other equipment
Follow proper safety procedures when using kitchen equipment
Empty wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal area
Keeps record of cooler and freezer temps
Assists in all areas of the kitchen as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
