We build and connect technologies to protect people, property and places, fostering collaboration critical for safer communities, schools, hospitals, businesses and nations.Department OverviewThe Command Center Software Deployment, Managed and Support Services team delivers solutions to the public safety sector, providing technology and tools that enable customers to focus on their missions and make faster, smarter, and safer decisions.Job DescriptionThe Software Application Specialist manages the deployment processes of Motorola's public safety and command center software suite within complex software ecosystems for public safety agencies. The role blends technical expertise and project‑management skills to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the software applications.Key ResponsibilitiesInformation Gathering and Discovery: Lead operational assessments, business‑process reviews, and discovery events to understand the customer's current processes; interview subject matter experts and document findings.Analytical Evaluation and Recommendations: Evaluate existing processes to identify improvement opportunities and provide tailored recommendations for configuring Motorola's solutions.Business Process Reengineering: Facilitate process reengineering initiatives, analyze workflows, and lead workshops to develop new processes aligned with organizational objectives.Training Development and Orientation: Design, develop, and deliver training curriculum and instructional materials, guiding customers through sessions to enhance user competency.User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Facilitation: Define, coordinate, and lead UAT processes, ensuring customer requirements are met and results documented against the project's Functional Requirements Matrix.Internal Liaison and Collaboration: Serve as liaison among technical resources, engineers, and project managers to communicate customer needs and adapt Motorola's configurable COTS software to client use cases.Project Management Support: Partner with Project Managers and Program Directors throughout the lifecycle to ensure timely delivery while respecting scope and budget constraints.Stakeholder Communication: Present analysis results and project updates to stakeholders, developing clear presentations that support decision‑making and facilitate buy‑in.Preferred Qualifications3+ years' experience in Public Safety, Business Analysis, Field Service, CAD, Record Management Systems, or Jail Applications.Self‑motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance.Target Base Salary Range$75,000—$85,000 USD.Basic RequirementsHigh School diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's in Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or 3 years of experience in a Public Safety IT environment.Must be able to obtain required background clearance.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; no employer sponsorship.Travel Requirements10–25%.BenefitsIncentive Bonus PlansMedical, Dental, Vision benefits401K with Company Match10 Paid HolidaysGenerous Paid Time Off PackagesEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid Parental & Family LeaveAdditional benefits availableEEO StatementMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
