Job TitleLead Preconstruction EstimatorJob DescriptionLead the preconstruction and estimating process for healthcare and technically complex projects from concept through construction start. Develop and manage detailed project budgets, cost plans, and GMP estimates, ensuring alignment with client goals and funding requirements. Oversee MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage) estimating efforts, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all building systems. Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to review drawings, specifications, and design development. Lead constructability reviews and identify design, scope, and cost risks early in the process. Manage subcontractor and vendor engagement, including bid solicitation, leveling, and scope alignment. Drive value engineering and life-cycle cost analysis, particularly critical for healthcare systems and long-term facility performance. Prepare and present estimates, cost updates, and strategy recommendations to clients and leadership teams. Proven experience leading preconstruction or senior estimating efforts on healthcare, hospital, or complex commercial projects. Strong technical expertise across MEP systems, including HVAC, medical gas, electrical, and advanced building systems. Deep understanding of construction documents, budgeting, and preconstruction processes. Experience managing subcontractor relationships and bid processes.
