Description

The Preconstruction Manager - 20M+ Healthcare Projects - Charlotte will be responsible for:

  • Project Assessment: Evaluate project feasibility and requirements
  • Cost Estimation: Develop accurate construction cost estimates
  • Budget Management: Create and manage project budgets
  • Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential project risks
  • Bid Process: Coordinate bidding, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts
  • Collaboration: Foster effective communication among project stakeholders
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and permits
  • Documentation: Maintain organized project documentation and reports
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor preconstruction team

Profile

The Preconstruction Manager - 20M+ Healthcare Projects - Charlotte should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required
  • Proven experience as a Precon Manager or Estimator in commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and make sound decisions.

5+ years of construction Project Manager experience with a general contractor is required
Experience on ground-up education, healthcare, and/or commercial construction projects is required
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred
Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
Local to Charlotte preferred, though relocators will be considered
