Description

The Preconstruction Manager - Large Scale Industrial Projects - Charleston will be responsible for:

    • Lead all preconstruction activities from initial concept through project turnover
    • Prepare detailed conceptual estimates, budgets, and quantity takeoffs
    • Coordinate with owners, architects, and consultants during design development
    • Evaluate drawings and specifications to identify value engineering opportunities
    • Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
    • Develop project logistics plans, schedules, and procurement strategies
    • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless project handoff
    • Support business development efforts through client presentations and proposal preparation

Profile

The successful Preconstruction Manager - Large Scale Industrial Projects - Charleston will have:

    • 5+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction with a commercial general contractor
    • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and pricing
    • Experience developing budgets throughout all phases of design
    • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents
    • Strong subcontractor relationships and market knowledge within the Southeast preferred
    • Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
