What a day looks like
You start your shift by reviewing job orders and reading schematics to confirm the plan. You gather the right materials from the floor, measure twice, and set up your station. With hand and power tools in reach (including a tape measure and common power tools), you assemble parts and make simple fixes as needed.
Throughout the day, you run safety checks on both materials and finished product, keep your work area tidy, and communicate clearly with teammates to keep everything moving. You wear required PPE and follow established safety procedures. You’ll receive day-to-day direction from a supervisor to align priorities and quality expectations.
