Keep precision moving—own the performance of our machines and the systems around them

Your mission: maximize reliability, accuracy, and safety across CNC equipment and plant services. You’ll combine installation savvy, electrical expertise, and hands-on fabrication to solve problems fast and prevent the next one.

Impact you’ll make

  • Ensure critical machine tools and auxiliaries—horizontal/vertical lathes and mills, shapers, hobs, cranes, and hoists—run to spec through diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and upgrades.
  • Commission with confidence: rig, install, level, perform laser alignment and ballbar validations, and test for full mechanical/electrical performance.
  • Extend your reach beyond machines when needed: HVAC, plant buildings, facilities, and utilities.
  • Execute preventive maintenance; maintain/issue and complete work orders; log every action in the maintenance system.
  • Serve as a connector: receive and make calls to outside suppliers for replacement parts and technical services; request and track quotes.
  • Protect the site: conduct audits of facility security and utility services; repair or communicate issues promptly.

How you’ll do it

  • Work across controls platforms: Fanuc, Mazak (Mazatrol), Siemens, Okuma OSP, and Haas; familiarity with Heidenhain is a plus.
  • Leverage Renishaw probing and ballbar systems for verification and calibration.
  • Bring legacy equipment expertise to older shapers and hobs (Fellows, Liebherr, Pfauter).
  • Diagnose, disassemble, repair/replace parts, reassemble, align, and adjust with precision.
  • Install and service electrical/electronic systems used on machines and auxiliaries; support building/facilities/utilities electrical as needed.
  • Own documentation: create, read, and revise blueprints; sheet metal, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics; PLC wiring diagrams; PLC programs; and circuit diagrams.
  • Lead new installs and rebuilds: mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work with complete documentation—hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC wiring/programming, and mechanical systems.
  • Electrical craftsmanship: install/maintain motors, power and lighting circuits, starters, and circuit breakers; troubleshoot solid-state controls.
  • Hydraulic problem-solving: read hydraulic schematics and resolve hydraulic issues on CNC equipment.
  • Fabrication readiness: cut, MIG/TIG weld, and build parts, covers, and guarding as needed.
  • Apply shop mathematics, charts, tables, and handbook formulas; use precision measuring instruments with strong knowledge of machine tool operations, methods, and materials.

How you’ll show up

  • Operate the maintenance system to accurately log activities and results.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; uphold 6S initiatives.
  • Be a multiplier: promote teamwork, train new employees, and instruct lower classification technicians.
  • Keep growing through company-provided training and intentional cross-training across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Follow all safety procedures and perform other related duties as directed.

Credential

  • Electrician License required or willingness to obtain; preference for candidates already licensed.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift, move, and manipulate up to 35 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Able to stand and/or walk for long periods.
  • Must pass PIE requirements to operate equipment.
