A day in the shop
Whether you prefer the hum of the day shift or the focus of nights, you'll set up and run CNC equipment to deliver consistent, high-quality parts. You’ll interpret prints and technical orders, dial in setups, and verify results with precision instruments—keeping safety and quality at the forefront.
Core responsibilities
- Operate both manual and computer-controlled machine tools to manufacture precision parts and assemblies.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machine tools and related equipment to ensure uptime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to plan and execute operations.
- Validate part dimensions using precision measurement tools to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Set up and make adjustments on CNC lathes, CNC mills, Multi-Spindle Screw Machines, and Grinding Machines.
Schedule and workload
- Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Night Shift: Sunday night–Friday morning, roughly 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Standard 50-hour work weeks.
