Shape Mission-Critical Hardware at Senior Metal Bellows

Picture your day beginning at a clean, well-organized workcell in a company that has been solving complex engineering challenges for more than 70 years. At Senior Metal Bellows, we build custom-engineered metal bellows and precision components for aerospace, defense, energy, and other demanding industries. Your craft on the machine directly supports programs that have zero room for error.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

You’ll move from print to part with confidence—setting up CNC mills and lathes, dialing in tooling, and verifying the first piece before the run ever starts. As parts come off the machine, you’ll inspect critical dimensions, adjust offsets or feeds/speeds when needed, and keep production flowing while safeguarding quality.

Your Impact

  • Run CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to produce precision components.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions to plan work.
  • Select and set tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for efficient, accurate machining.
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues; make safe program or machine setting adjustments.
  • Reduce cycle times and scrap by refining machining methods and processes.
  • Meet production schedules while upholding strict quality standards.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Solid knowledge of machining principles, tooling, materials, and tolerances.
  • Fluency in reading prints and interpreting GD&T.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens or similar controls (preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and problem-solving ability.
  • Consistent commitment to safety and quality.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Maintain manual dexterity and safely operate manufacturing equipment.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing floor includes exposure to heat, machine noise, metal shavings, lubricants, and moving mechanical parts. Proper PPE and adherence to safety procedures are required at all times.

Core Proficiencies

  • CNC machine setup and changeover
  • Advanced inspection and gage measurement
  • Setting up machines for production runs

If you’re driven by precision and continuous improvement, you’ll thrive here—building parts that make a real difference.
