Southeastern Surgical Center is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Tallahassee, Florida.
Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.
We are seeking a motivated Procedures Room Nurse to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the charge nurse and clinical director, the Procedure Room Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to the care of the patient experiencing a GI procedure..
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates perioperative care for patients having GI procedures in an ambulatory surgery center
Provides care following the policies and procedures of the Center and demonstrates knowledge of SGNA standards of practice
Makes decisions regarding patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and other members of the health care team
Clinically proficient in nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of adult and geriatric patient
Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks, use critical thinking skills, and be flexible as job priorities change.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with physicians, patients, staff, and all members of the healthcare team
Cognizant of the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs of the patient
Accurately documents nursing care
Demonstrates a positive attitude
Uses problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to foster effective, good work relationships with team members
Adheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break, and rest periods
Maintains required competencies
Attends required center meetings.
Qualifications
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
BCLS/ACLS
Experience in GI procedures preferred
