Position OverviewThe Pre-Litigation Manager (PLM) is responsible for overseeing a team of Case Managers and support staff to ensure cases are progressing efficiently, in compliance with firm standards, and with a strong focus on client experience.This role involves team leadership, case oversight, performance management, and operational coordination throughout the pre-litigation process.Key ResponsibilitiesCase Oversight & CoordinationMonitor case progress to ensure timely handling and adherence to firm proceduresReview case files at key intervals and provide guidance on next stepsSupport team members in identifying opportunities to strengthen case developmentEnsure appropriate documentation and case activity is maintainedPerformance ManagementMonitor team performance using established metrics and reporting toolsProvide coaching, feedback, and support to team membersConduct regular check-ins and performance discussionsIdentify areas of improvement and support team developmentSupervise Case Managers and support staff including CMAs and MRCsProvide training and guidance on case handling and workflowsSupport onboarding and ongoing development of team membersPromote a collaborative and professional team environmentOperational SupportEnsure adherence to firm processes, workflows, and proceduresIdentify operational inefficiencies and communicate opportunities for improvementSupport implementation of process updates and organizational initiativesMaintain consistency in case handling and documentation practicesClient & Case SupportAssist with escalated client concerns in a professional and timely mannerProvide guidance to team members on complex case situationsCollaborate with attorneys and leadership as needed on case-related mattersCommunicate updates, expectations, and changes clearly to team membersPartner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support operationsFoster alignment between management and team membersQualifications5+ years of experience in personal injury law2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferredStrong understanding of pre-litigation case management processesExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with case management systems (e.g., Filevine, CasePeer) preferredBenefitsLife & Disability InsuranceSeniority Based Paid Time OffEqual Opportunity EmployerThe Capital Law Firm, P.C. is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
