Summary:
The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational effectiveness service excellence and financial performance of assigned practices within Gateway Healthcare. This role partners closely with physician CCBHC and nursing leadership to ensure that clinical services are delivered at the highest professional standards patient care is optimized and business objectives are achieved. The Practice Manager oversees administrative financial and operational functions supervising both clinical and non-clinical support staff and ensuring alignment with organizational mission compliance requirements and best practice standards.

Operational Leadership
Oversee daily practice operations to ensure efficient patient flow provider productivity and a safe professional care environment.
Collaborate with physician and nursing leadership to enhance clinical throughput maximize provider leverage and support program growth.
Develop implement and monitor workflows to achieve quality access and operational efficiency targets.
Ensure the practice team is proficient in EMR scheduling and other core technologies; provide training and support as needed.
Maintain adequate inventory equipment functionality and facility readiness.
Financial & Revenue Cycle Management
Partner with Gateway leadership to develop and manage operating and capital budgets; monitor performance and address variances.
Oversee billing processes charge capture copay collection and accurate clinical documentation to support timely reimbursement.
Respond to requests from billing partners third-party payers and credentialing bodies; resolve revenue cycle issues promptly.
Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit hire train evaluate and when necessary take corrective action with support staff in accordance with HR policies.
Set clear performance expectations and serve as a role model for professionalism service excellence and effective communication.
Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during planned and unplanned absences.
Foster staff development and cross-training to support operational resilience.
Quality Compliance & Patient Experience
Ensure compliance with DOH BHDDH and other regulatory requirements; monitor the environment of care to maintain standards.
Participate in and/or lead quality improvement patient safety and customer service initiatives.
Address patient feedback and implement service recovery strategies.
Support providers in collaboration with referring providers to optimize care coordination.
Strategic & Program Development
Work with leadership to identify opportunities for service expansion operational improvement and market growth.
Collaborate with peer Practice Managers across the system and Patient Access Manager to share and implement best practices.
Contribute to policy and procedure development and ensure staff adherence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Other information:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor s degree in management business administration or health care administration or the equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
At least three years related experience in the management or administration of a physician practice or hospital outpatient department. Ambulatory leadership experience in an academic medical center setting is preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Oversees the staff responsible for day-to-day operations within the practice.
