The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is looking to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Practice Manager to support the Provider Urgent Care Float Pool!

Position Summary & Highlights:

  • As the Practice Manager for the Provider Urgent Care Float Pool, you will oversee the day-to-day operations including scheduling, PTO, and timekeeping system oversite (UKG) for 30 providers and/or APPs who support 12 urgent care clinic locations across the Treasure Valley.

  • This position will work on-site on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus.

  • Get quick and convenient urgent care at Saint Alphonsus in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Star, and Fruitland. We provide same-day treatment for a variety of minor to moderate conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare related field, with eight (8) or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years of supervisor/manager experience required.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate with the clinic managers at the urgent care clinic locations and with two Lead APPS regarding provider staffing needs and work with the providers and APPs in the float pool regarding scheduling.

  • Oversee Provider and APP performance and quality measures with the result of meeting or exceeding the established financial and other objectives set in cooperation with Medical Group leadership.

  • Work closely with the 30 providers and/or APPs on their scheduling availability including support of PTO and timekeeping system (UKG) oversight.

  • Business development and growth of the Urgent Care program.

  • Help support provider scheduling and operations for the Care on Demand and Mobile clinic.

  • Oversee upwards of 65+ providers who work as PRN at our urgent care locations, and manages the embedded providers schedule and PTO.

  • Execute on program administration with Service Line and operational directors and Medical Director in support of achieving timely and quality patient care and business development goals.

  • Responsible for program requirements being met; consistently meets quality standards and required timelines.

  • Project management; Learn and support implementation across the health system with our new scheduling software, Qgenda.

  • Prepare and provide timely and accurate reports including data/outcomes for program, compliance, status, volumes, and other program service reports, as needed.

  • Cultivate and strengthen professional relationships through consistent contact and timely follow through.

  • Communicate program or staffing needs or concerns to Director(s) in a timely manner.

  • Contribute new ideas for content, workflow improvements and program efficiencies.

  • Investigate patient and employee complaints or concerns.

  • Act as a resource to staff, internal and external providers for information, guidance and tools.

  • Have a strong working knowledge of program compliance requirements and risk for areas of responsibility.

  • Demonstrate ability to be an effective member a diverse multidisciplinary team.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of Saint Alphonsus outpatient clinic environment , protocols, and processes.

  • Experience working in an outpatient ambulatory clinic environment with physicians, providers, senior leadership, and peers.

  • Strong computer skills including payroll and timekeeping system, and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with colleagues, physicians, providers, including solid phone etiquette.

  • Solid organizational and prioritization skills including consistent and timely follow through.

  • Professionalism and self-initiative and are capable of contributing new ideas for content, workflow improvements, and program efficiencies.

  • You enjoy working in a team environment and independently as well. You also are adaptable and flexible to evolve with the program.

Work Schedule:

  • This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday - Fridays, around the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.
