Summary:
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently seekingPractice Manager candidates to join our Operations team! This position works full-time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday in an Exempt salaried position.

Job responsibilities:
Strategic Practice & Service Line Management
Serve as a strategic business partner to physicians and BMC leadership to align clinical care delivery with organizational goals.
Translate organizational strategy into actionable department and service line plans that support growth, access, quality, and financial sustainability.
Financial & Performance Oversight
Develop, manage, and monitor annual operating budgets for assigned departments or service lines.
Provide oversight of revenue cycle performance in collaboration with centralized billing teams, including charge capture, denials, and reimbursement trends.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as wRVUs, visit volume, access, template utilization, payer mix, staffing ratios, and expense performance.
Ensure alignment between operational decisions and long-term financial sustainability.
Practice Operations Leadership
Provide comprehensive oversight of daily practice operations across assigned departments, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Ensure provider schedules, templates, and visit types are accurately built, maintained, and optimized in the EHR.
Collaborate with IT, EMR, and operational partners on system enhancements, workflow configuration, and process improvement initiatives.
Act as the primary operational point of contact between the department and centralized functions (IT, HR, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Quality, Compliance).
Assure that work schedules for staff are appropriate for the effective operation of the facility. Coordinates daily staffing needs with resource pool manager and other Managers/Supervisors securing resource coverage as needed.
Collaborate with all operational and administrative partners on physician recruiting and onboarding to ensure smooth provider transitions both into and out of BMC.
Perform all facets of the hiring and performance management process of department personnel. Duties include but are not limited to interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating performance as well as coaching, counseling and/or disciplining employees, as needed.
Conduct staff performance evaluations and maintain regular communication regarding individual goals, objectives, work plans, strengths and weaknesses.
Work collaboratively with Human Resources on all personnel issues to ensure proper procedures are followed in accordance with BMC’s disciplinary and documentation process.

Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with providers and staff.
Must be self-directed, highly motivated with strong organizational skills and work ethic emphasizing tact, diplomacy, flexibility and confidentiality.
Must possess knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance.
Must be able to create and interpret a variety of documents and spreadsheets.
Must be familiar with physician scheduling software, Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, and payroll /timekeeping system.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational management, related field or 3-5 years’ of relevant experience, required.
Previous Experience:
3 - 5 years of direct, progressive leadership and management experience in roles requiring strategic and operational focus in hospital/clinic management; including leading complex, multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with managing healthcare staffing preferred.

$79,000 - $99,000/annually; depending on experience.
