Power Platform Developer – SharePoint Online II
Remote- CST Hours
5-month contract
Pay Range $52.00-59.00/hr.
Our client is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to support the migration from SharePoint 2019 (on-prem) to SharePoint Online. This role will focus on modernizing legacy workflows and applications, as well as building net-new Power Platform solutions that comply with Regions' governance, security, and licensing constraints. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can operate independently, translate requirements into high-quality solutions, and deliver intuitive, efficient user experiences without the need for training.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild and modernize legacy SharePoint 2019 workflows and applications into compliant Power Platform and SharePoint Online solutions
- Develop net-new Power Apps and Power Automate workflows aligned to business needs
- Design solutions using SharePoint Online Lists as the primary data source
- Build workflows within non-premium Power Platform licensing constraints
- Support ETL processes, particularly for:
- Moving data from SharePoint Lists into Power BI for reporting and dashboards
- Enhance SharePoint Online lists using JSON configuration where appropriate
- Deliver solutions that emphasize:
- Usability
- Efficiency
- Minimal clicks
- Clean, intuitive user experience
Required Skills
Power Platform
- Strong experience building:
- Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven apps)
- Power Automate workflows, including:
- Parallel branches
- Child flows
- Proficiency with:
- Power FX formulas
- Responsive design
- UI customization
SharePoint
- Hands-on experience with both SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online
- Ability to review and understand legacy SharePoint 2019 workflows and applications
- Experience designing solutions using SharePoint Online Lists
Platform Constraints Awareness
- Experience working within environments with:
- Limited premium Power Platform licensing
- No approval workflows
- No premium connectors
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- ETL experience related to SharePoint, especially:
- Moving data from SharePoint Lists into Power BI
- Power BI experience (reporting and dashboards)
- Experience migrating solutions from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Online (preferred, not required)
- Experience with JSON formulas/configurations in SharePoint Online
- JavaScript experience to support efficient Power Apps and Power Automate solutions
