The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in Speech Language Pathology in the areas of Voice Production/Voice Disorders. The postdoctoral researcher will play a key role in designing, implementing, and analyzing data from behavioral research studies. The postdoctoral researcher will aid in the following:

  • Recruitment of participants and data collection following IRB-approved protocols for voice production research.
  • Data processing.
  • Acoustic analyses of voice.
  • Statistical analyses.
  • Write manuscripts and grants.

This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. completed by May 2026
  • Research experience with voice production

Job Specific Qualifications

  • Knowledge of voice recording/assessment tools.
  • Experience with human subjects research, particularly with recording voice samples.
  • Familiarity with acoustic analysis of voice.
  • Prior experience with grant writing and manuscript preparation.
