Title Postdoctoral Researcher - Leuthner Lab Appointment Status Non-Tenure Track Department IU Bloomington Public & Environmental Affairs Location Bloomington Position Summary

The Leuthner Lab at Indiana University (The O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs) seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary research program in environmental genomics.

The postdoctoral researcher will have flexibility to define their own research agenda, but a successful candidate will be broadly interested in contributing to projects investigating gene-environment interactions, chemical susceptibility, and effects of exposure on evolutionary processes with a focus on emerging contaminants such as PFAS.

Research integrates Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) as a model system with approaches including:

  • Quantitative genetics (GWAS/QTL mapping)
  • High-throughput phenotyping
  • RNA-seq and multi-omics integration
  • Functional genomics (e.g., RNAi, transgenics)

The postdoctoral scholar will have opportunities to lead independent projects, mentor undergraduate researchers, and contribute to grant writing and publications.

Location: Bloomington, Indiana
