A Postdoctoral Fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Wayne Orr, studying the role of vascular cell signaling in atherosclerosis.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will join an NIH-funded program examining how cellular interactions with the arterial microenvironment contribute to smooth muscle cell phenotype during plaque development. In association with the Department of Pathology and Translational Pathobiology and the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences (CCDS), the fellow will be exposed to extensive training and networking opportunities in vascular biology, career development workshops through the local Post-Doctoral Association, and opportunities for intramural fellowships through the CCDS.
Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. Incumbent will maintain a customer-oriented awareness in acknowledging and responding to needs as they occur that customer satisfaction is met at all times.
Normal working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend and/or evening work and some travel are required. Lunch periods and breaks are dictated by workflow. Office environment is normal, air-conditioned, and well-lighted.
