IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at its facility in Seattle, WA.
This position will work as part of the R&D team which perform a variety of projects in food science and food microbiology.
Ideal candidates will possess the following skill and qualities:
- A PhD degree in Food Microbiology, Food Science, or related field (required)
- Passion for food microbiology and food science and willingness to do their best to help our clients on their requested projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated and proactive with strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
The pay range for this position is $78,000 - $80,000 annually (DOE). This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).
Occasional weekend work, extended hours, and or presence in the lab outside of the normal schedule are sometimes required. This position may require occasional travel assignments depending on project needs.
