Posting Summary The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking multiple post-doctoral associates to join the laboratory of Dr. Jun Wang within the Department of Medicinal Chemistry on or about September 1, 2022. The successful candidates will participate in NIH-funded projects in antiviral research.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience A Ph.D., MD, or DVM in a field appropriate to the research area is required. Knowledge of molecular cloning, protein expression, imaging, structural biology, immunology, virology, and mouse models is preferred but not required.
Certifications/Licenses Required
Knowledge/Skills and Abilities Candidates must be able to:
• Design and develop biochemical and cell-based assays for various drug targets • Perform high-throughput screening and structure-based drug design • Study the mechanism of action and mechanism of resistance of antivirals • Creatively develop, execute, and publish research relevant to the project • Participate fully as a lab team member • Assist graduate and undergraduate students in research activities • Assist in preparation of grants, manuscripts, and conference presentations
Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment Candidates must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse group and be willing to learn techniques and methodologies. Candidates must be highly motivated, creative, and able to maintain excellent documentation of their work.
