Description
A health services network in Madison County, New York is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a promising Per Diem position with their Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Per diem, scheduled dates from April to November
Hours: 8am to 4pm (8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch_
Setting: Hospital (PACU/Surgical Services)
Responsibilities:
Monitoring post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia
Assessing consciousness and vital signs
Identifying and responding to complications
Managing pain, nausea, and other post-op symptoms
Providing continuous patient monitoring and rapid intervention
Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
3+ years of PACU or ICU experience
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS certification
Strong skills in Post-Op/Anesthesia Recovery
Ability to work in a high-acuity environment
Effective communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
ASPAN knowledge
Experience with EMR systems
