The Post-Acute Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist in the Revenue Cycle department is responsible for enhancing the quality and completeness of clinical documentation in post-acute inpatient settings.
They review daily inpatient records, conduct concurrent reviews until discharge, and query physicians to ensure accurate reflection of patient acuity and resource use. Additionally, they provide documentation and coding education as needed.
**Qualifications:** A Bachelor's degree (preferably BSN) or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of clinical experience in relevant settings, and an active RN or MD license.
**Preferred Skills:** Strong communication, multi-tasking, independent and team work, relevant certifications (CDIP, CCDS, CRRN), knowledge of prospective payment systems, and proficiency in MS Office and Adobe.
