    Location: Temple, TX

    Description

    Extraco Banks is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Portfolio Manager to support the ongoing management, monitoring, and credit administration of commercial loan relationships. This on-site position, located in our Temple market, partners closely with Commercial Lenders, Credit Administration, and other internal teams to maintain portfolio quality, support underwriting and credit decisions, and deliver exceptional service to our customers.

    The ideal candidate is a strong commercial credit professional with experience in financial analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management. This individual is comfortable evaluating complex commercial relationships, identifying and managing risk, and contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced banking environment while supporting the growth and success of our commercial banking customers throughout the Temple market and surrounding communities.

    Responsibilities that we would like for you to be excited about:

    • Manage and monitor an assigned commercial loan portfolio to maintain strong credit quality and policy compliance.
    • Perform underwriting and credit analysis for new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications utilizing Moody's Lending Cloud.
    • Analyze borrower financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and guarantor support.
    • Assist lenders in preparing loan presentations, approval packages, and supporting credit documentation.
    • Monitor portfolio performance, annual reviews, covenant compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
    • Identify potential credit concerns and recommend appropriate risk management actions.
    • Assist in the management and monitoring of criticized or higher-risk credits.
    • Participate in customer meetings and relationship management activities as needed.
    • Partner with Credit Administration, Commercial Specialists, and Loan Operations to ensure a smooth and efficient lending process.
    • Support relationship growth by identifying opportunities to expand banking services.

    What we would expect you to bring to the team:

    • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of two years of experience as a Credit Analyst, or one year of experience as a Commercial Lender with prior Credit Analyst training.
    • Mastery of Moody's Lending Cloud required.
    • Strong knowledge of commercial underwriting, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and credit structuring.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.
    • Strong work ethic and commitment to long-term career development in commercial banking.

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment

    • Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment.
    • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
    • Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
    • Ability to move throughout the office to collaborate with team members and internal partners.
    • Occasional local travel may be required for customer meetings, training, or business development activities.
    • Visual acuity required for reviewing financial statements, credit documents, and electronic records.
    • Occasional lifting and carrying of office materials up to 15 pounds.
