Role: Portable Metrology Engineer
Client: DOD-Aerospace
Location: York, PA
Duration: 12-month contract
Schedule: Second Shift (3:15pm to 1:45am)
Hourly Rate: up to $46/hr (W2, non-benefited)

Position Description:
- Conduct inspection and dimensional report generation utilizing laser trackers, Faro arms and high volume scanners.
- Generating detailed inspection reports for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality
- Conducting laser inspections of new design installations for integration into manufacturing
- Performing inspection tasks for new designs and design changes
- Interfacing with Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Manufacturing to address product issues
- Creating and delivering quality inspection plans and reports that provide data to Manufacturing and customers
- Reviewing inspection data and assisting in the development preventative action plans
- Retrieving quality data and communicating results and statuses to internal and external customers
Required Skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Experience using PolyWorks software
- Experience using the following measurement/inspection equipment:
- Portable CMM
- Laser Tracker
- High Volume Scanner (ex. Surphaser)
Skills Preferred
- Engineering experience with relevant applications in a defense environment
- Specialized technical knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards
- Knowledge of mechanical design
- Knowledge of assembly processes
- Experience with PTC Creo, SolidWorkds or other modeling software
Experience Required
- Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Experience using PolyWorks software
- 4 year technical degree or relevant experience
- Experience using the following measurement/inspection equipment:
- Portable CMM
- Laser Tracker
- High Volume Scanner (ex. Surphaser)
