PART-Time/Temporary Position - This position is a part time/temporary position and DOES NOT include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 938 per calendar year.
Pay Considerations - The hourly pay for this position is $22.00.
Work Schedule - You must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime, stand by and holidays.
Environment - The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold: No effective protection from weather. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals, walking, and working on slippery and uneven surfaces. The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. THE ROLE
Under general supervision, coordinates the operation of aquatics program for the City of North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Department, including all personnel, budgeting and reporting. The full job description can be found here: Pool Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Minimum 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Any combination of education, training and experience which produces knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Licenses and Certifications Must possess a valid state of Nevada driver's license/Identification Credential or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record. Applicants must be able to obtain all required below certifications within two weeks of date of hire and prior to working in Pool Manager or an instructor capacity. NLS will provide all need training. American Red Cross or Star Guard Lifeguard Training Certificate which includes Standard First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Water Safety Instructor Certificate. Lifeguard Training Instructor Certificate.
