Job Summary
This position will require flexible working hours in the Library & Academic Success Center. Specifically, assisting students in various levels of developmental and curriculum classes, improving academic performance, and fostering student confidence in subject matter.
General areas of need are Mathematics, English, Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy, etc.); however, academic need can vary based upon student curriculum demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-on-1 or small group tutoring sessions
- Implement learning strategies to assist with student needs
- Document tutoring sessions and complete required paperwork
- Other assigned duties and assistance in the Library & Academic Success Center when not tutoring students
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area or comparable experience
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in related area
- Experience working with students in an Academic setting
