Location: Overland Park, KS 66211 (Hybrid - Monday & Friday Remote | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Onsite)

Required Pay Scale: Up to $30/hr on W2

Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Policy Accounting Consultant to support the Policy Accounting team responsible for daily reconciliations, financial reporting, journal entries, month-end close activities, and audit support. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, excellent reconciliation skills, advanced Excel knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Project Details:
- Support daily policy accounting operations and reconciliations
- Prepare and upload journal entries into SAP General Ledger
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Review policy accounting activity using Tableau reports
- Support month-end close activities and financial reporting
- Maintain audit documentation and assist with audit requests
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to resolve accounting issues
- Assist with special projects and provide cross-functional team support
- Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
- One virtual interview with the Hiring Manager
- Fingerprinting required
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent accounting reconciliation experience)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits
- Proven account reconciliation experience
- Experience preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience researching and resolving reconciliation discrepancies
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
