FTE: 1.0_, Shift: Days_, Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, rotating call every 4 weeks & 1 office day per week at Tacoma General Campus


Position Summary

Point of Care Testing Svcs Consultant is responsible for meeting laboratory analytical requirements, information technology support, and quality assurance measures focusing on accreditation needs, regulatory standards, and other requirements for the organization. The position provides operational support to ATS department as well as continuous development of the point of care testing program for the organization. This is a senior level position that works closely with the system manager for technical and analytical expertise to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. This position includes performance of technical consultant duties outlined by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and these duties may vary.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a MT (ASCP or equivalent) or MLT(ASCP or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum four (4) years laboratory or POCT experience with progressive responsibility
  • Minimum one (1) years experience with Lab Systems and IT Systems



Educational components must meet one of the following:


  • Master's or doctoral degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology, plus at least 1 year of lab training/experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology, plus at least 2 years of lab training/experience.
  • Associate degree in medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science, or clinical laboratory science, plus at least 4 years of lab training/experience
  • Master's or doctoral degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology, plus at least 1 year of lab training/experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology, plus at least 2 years of lab training/experience.
  • Associate degree in medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science, or clinical laboratory science, plus at least 4 years of lab training/experience

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $77,480.00 - $111,467.20 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
