Position Description

Harry Caswell LLC is a residential and commercial plumbing company and has been serving the community for over 25 years. Caswell's plumbing is dedicated to providing customers with guaranteed customer service. We are licensed and insured and are an emergency service provider, available 24 hours- 7 days a week. The plumbing service manager is responsible for all aspects of our busy service department.

Hours: 40 hours*

* More hours will be needed for emergencies and on-call.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Schedules, coordinates, and offers operational assistance for technicians to satisfy customer needs and standards
  • Review technician's work to ensure quality and meet the established standards, techniques, and safety requirements.
  • Provide training programs to ensure that technicians are properly educated about the latest service techniques, equipment, general working conditions, and safety procedures
  • Regularly communicates with dispatch to ensure that technicians are appropriately scheduled according to the level of skill, efficiency, and training needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate budgets, targets, and objectives to ensure company profitability
  • Specifies and ensures that the parts needed are ordered promptly to guarantee meeting deadlines
  • Communications with vendors and suppliers on warranty problems, product recall reports, and product operating issues
  • Collaborate on the company and departmental goals and objectives with other managers
  • Comply with all OSHA/local safety standards
  • You and your crew must maintain clean/safe vehicles and keep track of millage for routine maintenance of vehicles and fill out reports for vehicle problems
  • Talk/treat employees and customers with respect
  • Assist employees with tough tasks, if required
  • Conduct pre-job research for material lists and other information needed to ensure all jobs are successful on the first try
  • Ensure customers and their property are treated with respect
  • Maintain, repair, and order equipment
  • Must follow Harry Caswell LLC company policies at all times
  • Other duties may be assigned
Position Requirements
  • Five years of related experience in managing plumbing technicians
  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable, detailed oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling several tasks
  • The ability to know local codes and to use available resources to find solutions
  • Efficient management skills to improve the productivity of teams and work standards.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding or ramps.
  • Ability to raise or lower objects weighing at least 60 pounds from one level to another
  • Able to work at least 8 hours a day- 40 hours per week minimum
  • Ability to crawl in crawlspaces and attics
  • Ability to work on-call with other managers
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice
