High School Diploma or equivalency certificate. Must be a journeyman Plumber. Three years previous plumbing experience required. Prior hotel plumbing maintenance experience preferred. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license. NJ CER LICENSE REQUIRED
Responds to routine maintenance calls as required within the scope of the Plumbing Shop. Installs, connects and tests sanitary plumbing fixtures, fire sprinklers, hydraulic refrigeration and various gas, steam and other pressure systems. Performs maintenance and repair functions on major system breakdowns. Works with blueprints, sketches, service requests, state, municipal ordinances and underwrites ordinances and specifications. Lifts and moves tools and parts as related to applicable trade. Preparation of work area to include movement of furniture/obstructions. Keeps Lead informed of inventory of all materials and equipment necessary to perform job duties. Assists with training of the Apprentice Engineer. Completes special assignments for management as requested.
